City Creek Center Defines Luxury

You could get used to this!

Historic Downtown Salt Lake City is a cosmopolitan cultural mecca. City Creek Center in the heart of the city features 700,000 feet of mixed-use residential, office, and retail space. It features three luxury condo towers with an open-air shopping mall. The mall offers foliage-lined walkways, a charming creek, and a retractable roof!

The center’s condominium towers overlook the magical city – Utah’s state capital. The pulse of Salt Lake City throbs with the excitement of dining, theater, history, art, shopping, pro sports, and business. Yet, within minutes you can find yourself in the serenity of our fabulous Wasatch Mountains, viewing wildlife on the amazing Great Salt Lake, or relaxing at one of many world-class resorts. Yeah. This is City Creek living. This wildly popular urban town center has received some rave reviews.

What is City Creek Center?

In 2003 it became clear Salt Lake’s downtown was destined to lose some of its most valued anchor stores in the Crossroads and ZCMI malls to more modern developments. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints purchased the properties and made plans to help the city avoid urban blight. City Creek Center developers sought to create a new style of urban living. In 2006, the concept for City Creek Center was unveiled. Six years later, a spring ribbon-cutting ceremony officially opened the center to the world.

Think of this new development as a historic Western city on steroids. The warm, friendly atmosphere of this community remains unchanged. The historic integrity is intact. The natural setting amid towering mountains and flowering valleys is better than ever; but, at City Creek Center you’ll find an electric energy that feels brand new.

The center is the brainchild of City Creek Reserve, Inc. (CCRI), an affiliate of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architects LLP (ZGF) of Portland, Oregon. The partners set out to create a place “where friends meet friends, where work meets play, where the past meets the future, and where Salt Lake meets New York.”

All residences in City Creek are a short walk from:

  • restaurants
  • shops
  • the symphony
  • an opera
  • theaters (both live and silver screen)
  • a dynamic business center
